Cincinnati, OH (February 26, 2016)– Despite outshooting the Cyclones 27-16, the Tulsa Oilers fell to the Cincinnati Cyclones in their first ever meeting, on Friday.

Goaltender Andy Iles stopped all 27 shots, while Zach Budish, Colin Mulvey and Andrew Yogan netted the three goals for the Cyclones.

At the 14:40 mark of the first period Budish beat Jussi Olkinoura high on the glove side off a pass from Yogan during a two-on-one situation. Jack Downing was credited with the secondary assist.

A little more than a minute later, at the 15:23 mark of the first period, Mulvey beat Olkinoura on the low glove side off of a back door feed from former Oiler, forward Tommy Mele. Defenseman Riley Weselowski took an assist.

Yogan would score an empty-net goal at the 19:06 mark of the third period, reaching the final score.

Forward Stefan Legein made his Oiler debut after being acquired from the Manchester Monarchs in exchange for future considerations.

The Oilers will look to bounce back tomorrow night against the Fort Wayne Komets at 6:30 p.m. central in Fort Wayne, IN.
