Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, and powered by Community Care, announce that the ECHL named Jake Sibell the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for October, and Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 26 – Nov. 1.
Sibell went 4-0-0 with two shutouts, a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .970 in four appearances during the opening month of the ECHL season.
The 26-year-old allowed two goals or fewer in three of his October appearances, while making 26 or more saves in each outing.
During the span of his four starts, Sibell at one point recorded 156:04 straight of shutout hockey, good for more than seven consecutive periods of perfect goaltending.
“So well deserved,” said Head Coach Rob Murray. “Jake is an excellent goalie and definitely showed it this month. He impressed me both with his play and durability. I am so happy for him.”
A native of Isanti, Minnesota, Sibell is tied for the ECHL lead in shutouts, is tied for second in the league in wins and goals-against average while he ranks second in save percentage.
During the 2025-26 season, Sibell appeared in 14 career ECHL games with Tulsa and Greensboro, posting an overall record of 8-2-1 with three shutouts, a 2.40 goals-against average and a save percentage of .927.
