Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, and powered by Community Care, announce the additions of former Iowa Heartlander John Lundy and former Wichita Thunder, Nick Nardella to the forward group before training camp.
Lundy (25) most recently played professionally with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL, where he made his professional debut in the 2025-26 season, playing seven games and recording three assists. Prior to the ECHL, Lundy finished his final collegiate season with Ferris State University, where he put up five goals and six assists in 27 games for the Bulldogs. The Brooklyn, New York native played his first three NCAA seasons at American International College, piling up 24 goals and 19 assists in 72 games.
Nardella (27) returns to North America, having spent time in Italy with Aosta for two seasons, serving up 116 regular-season points (50g, 66a) in 49 games and 51 playoff points (24g, 27a) in 25 playoff games. Prior to his southern European tour, the Rosemont, Illinois native had separate stints with Cincinnati, Iowa, Idaho, and most recently in the 2023-24 season with Wichita, playing 52 games for now Oilers’ Associate Coach, Bruce Ramsay, garnering 16 points (5g, 11a) that campaign. The former Euro forward played collegiately at Michigan Tech.
Lundy and Nardella join Jonny Hooker (F), Jake Sibell (G), Dylan Fitze (F), Lukas Jirousek (F), Tyrell Goulbourne (F), Mike McKee (D), Nik Armstrong-Kingcade (F), Caleb Huffman (D), Max Itagaki (F), Ian Amsbaugh (F),Connor Fedorek (D), Ethan Benz (F), Zachary Murray (F), Max Ruoho (D), Caiden Gault (F), Jay Dickman (F), and Tyler Poulsen (F) as announced signings for the 2026-27 season.
The Tulsa Oilers begin the regular season hosting the Allen Americans on October 17 at the BOK Center. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. CT.
