Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, and powered by Community Care, announced on Wednesday a trade with the Trenton Ironhawks, sending forward Easton Armstrong to the North Division with the return of defenseman Luc Salem.
Salem, 27, finished the 2025-26 season with the Utah Grizzlies, now Trenton Ironhawks, with a career high in assists (21) and points (24) in 69 games played, the most he has suited up for in a single season, also representing a +4 rating.
“Luc is an established defenseman at our level,” said Head Coach Rob Murray. “When making the trade, we were looking for a defenseman in return. We remembered him from Utah last year, he plays with an edge and will fit well with our group. He was looking for a fresh start, and we are looking forward to having him in Tulsa.”
The Los Angeles, California native joins the Anaheim Ducks affiliation tree, having spent the 2024-25 season with the Indy Fuel, where he spent 16 games recording three assists before eventually being traded to the Kalamazoo Wings, registering 50 games and 20 points (6g,14a).
