Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, and powered by Community Care, announce the return of the big-body forward Lukas Jirousek.
Jirousek (26) arrived in Tulsa last season on loan from the SPHL’s Pensacola Ice Flyers. The second-year Oiler produced 17 points (5g, 12a) in 34 games with Tulsa and earned a look at the AHL level this season, joining the San Diego Gulls training camp and earning ice time in an AHL preseason game.
“Moose impressed while in San Diego, and he came in midseason for us last year and showed very quickly he would stay at this level,” said Head Coach Rob Murray. “He is a good, strong centerman, really good on draws, and is willing to fight. He has a lot of dimension to his game.”
The Yukon Territory native spent partial time over the course of two seasons in the SPHL with the Ice Flyers, potting 22 points (12g, 10a) in 40 games between the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.
Prior to his professional experience, the six-foot-four, 205-pound skater played collegiate hockey at SUNY-Plattsburgh for four seasons, compiling 55 points (23g, 32a) in 78 games and finishing his university journey with a +11 rating on the ice.
Jirousek joins Tyrell Goulbourne (F), Mike McKee (D), Nik Armstrong-Kingcade (F), Caleb Huffman (D), Max Itagaki (F), Ian Amsbaugh (F), Connor Fedorek (D), Ethan Benz (F), Zachary Murray (F), Jay Dickman (F), and Tyler Poulsen (F) as announced signings for the 2026-27 season.
The Tulsa Oilers begin the regular season hosting the Allen Americans on October 17 at the BOK Center. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. CT.
