Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, and powered by Community Care, announced the signing of German native forward Nik Armstrong-Kingcade out of the German Upper League (Oberliga).
Armstrong-Kingcade (27) enters his North American professional career after spending his first pro season in his home country of Germany, recording 30 points (14g, 16a) in 34 games for SC Riessersee in the Oberliga.
“Nik was brought up to me by Jay Dickman,” said Head Coach Rob Murray. “He knows him and tracked his college career. Nik had a breakout senior year at Bentley and put up solid numbers in Germany last season, and he is looking to ride that momentum into his first pro season in North America.”
The Rostock, Germany, native played collegiate hockey for UMass-Lowell for three seasons, playing 55 games and registering seven points (5g, 2a) before transferring to Bentley University, where he completed his final two NCAA seasons. The left-handed skater scored 19 goals and put up 20 assists for 39 points in 62 games for the Falcons and won a 2026 AHA Championship with a victory over Sacred Heart.
Armstrong-Kingcade joins Caleb Huffman (D), Max Itagaki (F), Ian Amsbaugh (F), Connor Fedorek (D), Ethan Benz (F), Zachary Murray (F), Jay Dickman (F), and Tyler Poulsen (F) as announced signings for the 2026-27 season.
The Tulsa Oilers begin the regular season hosting the Allen Americans on October 17 at the BOK Center. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. CT.
