STORYLINES
LAST TIME AGAINST THE AMERICANS: The trend of allowing the first shot of the game into the back of the net. The Oilers reached a season high 55 shots on the game, and Bair Gendunov and Alec Butcher both finished with multi-point games, while Kishaun Gervais and Karl Boudrias each scored a goal.
BROCCOLI CHEDDAR KEESH: Kishaun Gervais continues to be productive since returning from injury. The rookie has recorded a point in four of the five games since his return, including goals in back-to-back games. Gervais also chucked fists with former Oiler Andrew Jarvis in last night’s game.
BUTCHERING THE COMPETITION: Alec Butcher picking up a pair of assists in last night’s game, coming off the heels of his first three-point game as an Oiler on Feb. 10 in Allen. The right-handed centerman now leads the Oilers in power-play goals and has produced the most points over the last two games.
BAIRING DOWN: Pending a stat correction Bair Gendunov picked up his first multi-assist game as an Oiler last night. Regardless of the correction, the rookie is now on a six-game point streak and is averaging nearly a point per game with 10 (6G, 4A) in 14 games.
