Rapid City, S.D. —The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls and powered by Community Care, beat the Rapid City Rush 5-2 at the Monument on Saturday night.

Mark Duarte opened the scoring with three minutes remaining in the first period, slamming a back-door feed past Tomas Suchanek, giving the Rush a 1-0 lead. Tyler Poulsen leveled the game 1:26 later, ripping a snapper from the right circle beyond Matt Radomsky to end the period deadlocked at 1-1.

Blake Bennett restored the Rush lead 5:36 into the second. Less than 90 seconds later, Dante Sheriff wired a shot inside the post, beating Radomsky to tie the game 2-2. Kishaun Gervais scored his first ECHL goal — the eventual game winner — wristing the puck into the top of the net from the slot 3:07 past the halfway point of the game.

Eddie Matsushima scored just 22 seconds into the third period, beating Radomsky via the five hole on a breakaway, putting Tulsa up by two. Kyle Crnkovic finished the scoring with an empty-net goal, giving himself and Sheriff two-point nights.
