TULSA, Okla. —The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, lost 5-4 in overtime to the Indy Fuel on Friday night at the BOK Center.

Seamus Malone scored the Tulsa area code into the action, finding the back of the net 9:18 in, to put Indy up 1-0. Eddie Matsushima achieved the first shootout goal of the season 10:34 into the opening frame. Spencer Watson quickly reclaimed the lead for Indy 90 seconds after.

Ryley Lindgren tallied his fourth goal of the season in just his sixth appearance, knotting the game at 2-2. Bryan Lemos placed his team back up 3-2 shoveling home the Fuel’s second power-play goal of the game. Jimmy Soper followed up 24 seconds before the halfway point of the game, walking a beautiful backhander into the top shelf to tie the game 3-3.

Lemos notched his second of the night 12:47 into the game, pulling the Fuel ahead. Michael Farren answered just 16 seconds after, forcing overtime.

Cooper Zech scored the game-winning goal 37 seconds into overtime, sealing the Fuel win.
