OILERS UNVEIL SEASON-OPENING ROSTER

Tulsa opens the 2019-20 regular season Friday at the BOK Center against Kansas City

TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s St. Louis Blues, announced its season-opening roster Thursday ahead of Friday’s 7:05 p.m. season-opening showdown against the Kansas City Mavericks at the BOK Center.

The Oilers’ opening-day roster is headlined by 31-year-old veteran Adam Pleskach, who enters his seventh season with the Oilers and his third as the team’s captain after leading the ECHL with 38 goals last season. Tulsa’s cupboard is full of NHL and AHL talent, with eight affiliated players on the opening roster. Goaltender Devin Williams returns for his third season between the pipes. Williams is coming off back-to-back seasons where he has won Goaltender of the Month awards in the season’s opening month.

Tulsa starts the season with a three-in-three series at home and six of their first seven matchups at the BOK Center. The nucleus of the 2018-19 Mountain Division champions has returned, including veteran defenseman Steven Kaunisto, forward Charlie Sampair, forward Ian McNulty, defenseman Mike McKee, forward Ryan Tesink, defenseman Eric Drapluk and forward Jared Thomas.

Tulsa Oilers Season-Opening Roster:

Forwards (11): Robby Jackson (AHL – San Antonio), Dakota Joshua (NHL – St. Louis), Ian McNulty (ECHL), Connor Moynihan (ECHL), Danny Moynihan (ECHL), J.J. Piccinich (AHL – San Antonio) Adam Pleskach (ECHL), Charlie Sampair (ECHL), Deven Sideroff (NHL- Anaheim), Ryan Tesink (ECHL), Jared Thomas (ECHL)

Defensemen (8):  Jake Clifford (ECHL), Eric Drapluk (ECHL), Steven Kaunisto (ECHL), Cam Knight (ECHL), Miles Liberati (ECHL), Mike McKee (ECHL), Steven Ruggiero (AHL – San Diego), Josh Wesley (AHL – San Antonio)

Goaltenders (3):  Evan Fitzpatrick (NHL-St. Louis), Devin Williams (ECHL). Olle Eriksson Ek (NHL – Anaheim)

Goaltender Olle Eriksson Ek will start the season on reserve, while defenseman Cam Knight will begin the campaign on the injured reserve.

The Oilers host the Kansas City Mavericks to open the regular season on Friday, October 11th at 7:05 p.m. at the BOK Center. Opening weekend will then see the Allen Americans come to town on Saturday, October 12th, before the Oilers close out the weekend with a Sunday matinee game against the Rapid City Rush at 4:05 p.m.
