Olkinuora Returns to Tulsa

Tulsa, OK(March 31, 2016)–The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL Winnipeg Jets and AHL Manitoba Moose announced that goaltender Jussi Olkinuora has been reassigned to the Oilers. 

Olkinuora, 25, began the 2015-16 campaign with the Tulsa Oilers. He has been between the pipes for 20 games, logging 1144 minutes and a 2.73 goals against average.

The Helsinki, Finland native returns to Tulsa having six contests with Manitoba under his belt. In his 222 minutes, his goals against average was 5.13 with a .861 saves percentage.

The six-foot-two netminder made 43 starts last season for Oilers’ Head Coach Jason Christie with the Ontario Reign, finishing the season with a 2.41 goals against average.

The Oilers are in Quad City tomorrow night to face the Mallards at the iWireless Center and Evansville on Saturday.
